DIY Farmhouse Coffee Table
Source: Love Grows Wild
Wood is in and I am on “BOARD”. Wood furniture is so much more “comfy cozy” than glass or plastic, and it gives off a rustic and charming addition to any home. I’m really loving this idea for a coffee table… It’s a dark wooden chocolate brown color, big enough to be used for decor space but small enough to be a coffee table, and easy to create. The tutorial has clear directions with pictures, there aren’t many materials used, and it can be done in no time at all! Transform your home into comfy cozy this summer!
DIY Wooden Coffee Table
Source: A Beautiful Mess
Who would have thought that wood and metal feet would look so amazing together? I mean seriously, how unique is this wooden coffee table? I love how she stacks sandy colored wood on top of each other in different layers for the base of this coffee table, there is such a vintage feel to it. The addition of the metal hairpin legs then adds a unique and genuine touch to an already awesome coffee table. What I love most about this is that not everything has to be sawed and glued perfectly because of the layers, but it can still look perfect in the end. It only takes 5 materials, a couple of tools, and about an hours time. I’ve never seen anything like it!
Distressed Coffee Table with Storage
Source: Rogue Engineer
I wanted more storage in my apartments and houses throughout college ever since I moved out, but let’s face it… Once you have kids it’s not a want, it’s a NEED! A coffee table with storage never sounded so perfect! This rustic wooden coffee table is big enough to be a center table in the living room but small enough to be an end table. It’s unique in its stained white bottom and large square stature, and in the fact that it holds a ton of storage. Not only would it be great shoe storage but also perfect for toys, books, and anything else you can think of making it super easy to clean up the living room. Keep it clean and tidy this summer with this DIY coffee table!
DIY Live Edge Wood Coffee Table
Source: A Pretty Happy Home
This stunningly unique wooden coffee table is a perfect example of how one person’s trash can absolutely be another’s treasure! This DIY project was created using a wood slab that had been sitting in her parents’ garage since she was a child. It was cut uneven, curvy and wavy, and at first glance, showed no value other than being a pretty cool and long slab of wood. She transformed this into a gorgeous and rustic coffee table, unlike anything I’ve seen before! After sanding the wood and adding black metal pipe VOILA. An expensive looking coffee table made out of essentially… Wooden trash!
DIY Pallet Coffee Table
Source: The Merry Thought
Reclaimed pallet wood used for a coffee table? After seeing this DIY project, absolutely YES! This is cheap, versatile, easy to create, and stunningly unique. I love how she stains a few of the individual boards to add a pop of color to the table, and the different shading of brown gives it a rustic farmhouse feel. This would look perfect in your living room or even down in the man cave. I would love to CLAIM this reclaimed wood project ASAP!
DIY Circle Coffee Table
Source: Katrina Chambers
Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s a pallet coffee table with hairpin legs! I am obsessed with the look of this coffee table. Everything from the unstained reclaimed pallet wood (making it budget friendly and affordable) to the smoothly layered wood, to the black matte hairpin legs, this is EVERYTHING! This is a really good project for a beginner because the project doesn’t take much money, time, or materials, the directions are laid out easy to understand, and the turn out is versatile and unique. Love the vintage look!
White Wash Round Coffee Table
Source: Charleston Crafted
I only have “pies” for this easy as pie modern DIY coffee table! This is as about as beginner as it gets for an advanced looking turn out, folks. First of all, the entire base of this table is made with two 2×6 boards and you can swap out the top of the table as you wish. They show both the wooden tabletop and a glass top version which both look great in my opinion. If you have kids, keeping the wooden top looking clean will be much easier!
I love the color, I love the size, and I love the fact that it’s a quick and inexpensive project. With a few screws, some glue, and about 20 minutes time you can have your very own modern, vintage, light sand colored coffee table that would look amazing in any and all rooms. I definitely want a piece of this pie!
DIY Coffee Table Using a Salvaged Shutter
Source: Farmhouse Made
What do you call a window that raps? 2 PANEZ! This coffee table idea using salvaged shutters is beyond creative and unique… Not to mention absolutely stunning! Does it get cheaper than using salvaged shutters from an old window? You could probably pick some up at an antique store for $5 dollars. This shutter, in particular, was already pretty vintage and rustic with its teal blue coloring, so all they needed to do was sand it down and add my favorite, hairpin legs. It looks awesome and would be an artsy touch to any room in your home. What an awesome idea!
DIY Pink Washed Plywood Coffee Table
Source: Fall For DIY
Pretty in pink and gorgeously stunning, this washed plywood coffee table is ridiculously adorable! While it is your standard hairpin legged coffee table, there is a light pastel pink stain to give it some color, and cuteness. This is large enough to be a desk, yet small enough to be a coffee table so it’s versatile, to say the least
I could see this in a nursery too just based on the color. The tutorial is clearly laid out, the materials used are few, and it only takes about an hours time. Pink makes everything brighter and better, don’t you think?
Rustic Circle Coffee Table
Source: Wood Shop Diaries
There’s always time for one more DIY project, right!? This circle coffee table is the perfect rustic addition to any living room! I love how she added the roman numerals on the top making it look like the face of a clock. Plus, the whitewash against the dark stain of the legs is perfect Now, this is not for the beginner DIYer… but if you have the tools and know how it turns out amazing. Save some time for this awesome table!
Restoration Hardware Copycat Coffee Table
Source: The Rozy Home
Love is an open DOOR! And love is an understatement when it comes to how I feel about this restored trestle door coffee table… Also did you like my Disney’s “Frozen” reference? I love that song, I’ll admit it. This is everything I would want in a DIY coffee table, and more. It’s budget friendly, being an old door and all (you can find these at many antique shops or better yet buy a new door yourself), it’s vintage and antique while still having a modern feel, and it’s sturdy with its metal legs
I love the smoky grey and black colors, and I love the bigger size, made to fit in the living room. The instructions are clear, concise, and there are plenty of pictures to make it even easier to understand. When one door closes… Another opens up as a coffee table!

I’m absolutely marbles for this faux marble coffee table! I’ll be the first to say this definitely puts a “SPIN” (get it, marbles) on your everyday regular DIY coffee table project. This coffee table is made a little differently, by welding. Never welded before? No problem! This tutorial gives you clear cut instructions, as well as pictures and a video to teach you exactly how to do this,
I love the white marble paired with the gold base and legs, it’s stunning and sleek with a marble kitchen counter look. I could see this in a living room or even being used as a bedroom end table. It’s versatile in its size and expensively gorgeous looking. I love this idea!
DIY Hairpin Leg Coffee Table
Source: Maison de Pax
This coffee table is TREEmendous! I love the style of this coffee table using a slab of a tree trunk. It’s funky, it’s fresh, and it’s modernly vintage. If you’re wondering where you would find a slab of lumber… most pier 1’s, home goods stores, and hobby lobby’s will offer this for a decent price Plus, this coffee table is made using just four materials total with short and easy instructions. And the addition of the hairpin legs? Absolutely stunning!
I love the smaller size of this coffee table, perfect to place in an apartment or smaller living room or in a bedroom. May the forest be with you and your tree trunk coffee table this summer!
Industrial Coffee Table
Source: Little Glass Jar
I’m not made of money, and normally industrial furniture is just WAY WAY WAY out of this mommy’s budget. So when I saw this DIY project I was mostly just curious on how she was able to make her own table/how much it was gonna put a dent in the wallet. Well, prepare to be amazed because this gorgeously expensive looking industrial coffee table was created with under 10 supplies and $75 dollars! I love the light brown stained color on the top paired with the smoky black colors on the bottom, and the size. It’s almost less of a coffee table and more of a “center’ table made for a living room. The white decor on the top is a very pretty finishing touch as well. IndustriYES!
Rectangle Hairpin Coffee Table
Source: Ugly Duckling House
Easy peasy coffee table squeezy… For how stunning this coffee table is you wouldn’t believe how seriously simple this DIY project is. The beauty that is this 2×4 coffee table takes a whopping 15 minutes to execute, and 7 small steps. I love the brown stain uses for the table, the diagonal design, as well as the black hairpin legs holding it all together. It’s a rustic feel with a modern touch that I can’t get enough of. Just find some scrap wood, sand it down, add your stain and wood filler, and voila! Easy peasy for you too!
DIY Crate Coffee Table on Wheels

This is “wheely” good idea, seriously . This coffee table is more than a place for your coffee, it’s also a moving and versatile storage spot for you! If you have kids, (and generally even when you don’t) you know you can always use more storage to keep the clutter away. This coffee table has a bottom shelf, perfect for a couple bins of baskets for toys, books, trinkets, etc. Not only that, but it’s a wooden rustic beauty on WHEELS! You can roll it around the house into any room you see fit, take it outside, switch rooms every now and again, anything your heart desires! This really is everything; brains, beauty, and versatility to the max!
Thick Wood DIY Coffee Table
Source: Handmade Haven
This industrial style coffee table is stunning! If you feel pretty confident in your sawing, sanding, and screwing, you won’t regret adding this DIY project to your summertime to do list. I love the bamboo beige like color and the way that there is a bottom shelf underneath for storage. It’s big enough to be a centerpiece table in a living room, or if you have a large room could also be used as a bigger coffee table. This requires a little extra work and a couple more steps when it comes to sanding everything down just right and the vertical wood pieces being placed on the bottom, but the turn out is a gorgeous table that you will definitely be using for a lifetime!
West Elm DIY Coffee Table
Source: Comfort & Chaos
By now I’m sure you’ve heard of West Elm furniture… If you’re not “balling on NO budget”, save yourself the trouble of looking into it. It’s expensive. West Elm has a wide array of gorgeously modern and contemporary furniture, and I am obsessed with it! This DIY project is West Elm inspired and WOW, it shows. I love the horizontal patterns in the coffee table, and how she stains pieces throughout different colors like brown, red, and gray. And this will cost you no more than $100, which is about $700 dollars less than it would if you actually visited West Elm. Draw the quadrants, cut the pieces, stain colors, glue, attach the tabletop to the base, and there you have it. Your very own West Elm coffee table! You won’t even be able to tell that it’s not the real thing!
DIY Modern Farmhouse Square Coffee Table
Source: Sincerely Marie Designs
Cock a doodle farmhouse coffee table doo! This square farmhouse coffee table is elegant and stunning with that farm charm that we all love so much. What I love so much about this coffee table isn’t just the elegance or the charm, it’s the unique color used. She states it’s a “decorators white” by Benjamin Moore and it’s almost an off white/ beige color that I have never seen before. The criss-cross designs give it an extra pop of decor and expensive feel too, and the bottom storage makes it a more versatile table. This is sure to make your rooster crow!
