Easy Construction Birthday Cake
Source: Merriment Design
This birthday cake looks like it’s still under construction; but trust me, one bite and you’ll know you’re dealing with an end product!
This construction site of a cake is a perfect birthday accessory for your little bulldozer at home, and it’s as yummy to eat as it is fun to look at
The chocolate buttercream frosting is absolutely to die for and it’s a decent size for a party too
Dinosaur Cake With Exploding Lava
Source: Oh So Delicioso
This idea takes the cake, literally!
Dino’s are a hit with almost every little one. If you’re looking to have a birthday party for the books this cake will do it for you. I mean, the lava explodes. Can it get better than that?
I dropped the milk last week and it exploded and my son talked about it for three days straight
This cake is a little more difficult and does take some effort, but the directions make it simple and it’s well worth it
Dark Chocolate Football Cake
Source: Bakerette
My boys have a football fanatic for a dad. I mean, the guy lives to watch the Lions lose every… Single… Sunday
Football here in our Michigan home has been huge for them. We live close to MSU and the boy’s favorite thing to do with their dad on the weekends is to go with him to a tailgate
That’s usually Mommy alone time for me, but when I do go It is absolutely precious to listen to them asking if we are winning and to get excited or mad with us depending on how the game is going
This football cake recipe was SO easy
It’s a spin on the classic chocolate cake. All you need is the right baking ban, and some white icing and you’re good to go
Easy Fishing Cake for Summer Parties
Source: Mom Vs The Boys
Good things come to those who BAIT and I tell you what this fishing cake was better than good!
I’m not the best artist. I can put great effort in but at the end of the day, it’s just not my thing. That’s where these gummy fish came in…
This cake will look like a ton of effort was put in, but it was really very easy to make
My only piece of advice, put enough fish on the cake for everyone to get a gummy otherwise you may have some upset fishermen!
Triceratops Dinosaur Birthday Cake Recipe
Source: Little Miss Kate & Co.
Maybe your little one love’s dinosaurs but you don’t want to go through the hassle of dealing with trying to make your cake explode. Trust me, I get it
This dino cake will be just as much of a hit
Not only is this cake delicious but it’s pretty to look and extremely unique
Smash Cake Recipe Idea Baby Boy’s First Birthday
Source: Cooking LSL
Okay, why didn’t we think of smash cakes sooner?
My little ones were definitely smashing pieces of cake on their 1st and 2nd birthdays but this smash cake fad is bigger than ever and I am HERE. FOR. IT.
The best thing about this cake is that whether you’re looking for that perfect 1st birthday “smash cake” picture or just searching for a classic blue birthday cake this is the recipe for you
This cake is beautiful to look at it and even better to eat. It will only take a little less than two hours to make and will be the perfect addition to your little one’s party
Easy Homemade Thomas The Train Cake
Source: Little Miss Kate & Co.
My boys get an hour of tv time in the morning, and an hour of tv time after dinner
They choose Thomas the Train almost every time in Unison. This cake will take a little bit of artistic nature because the bulk of it is icing on the face of the train, but the tutorial makes it a lot easier
A Thomas the Train birthday party theme is great because there are napkins, trains, and decorations for this theme already at the store for you
Easy To Make Giant Cookie Recipe
Source: Eating on a Dime
A wise man once said, “a balanced diet is a cookie in each hand”
Cookie Monster said it, he’s the wise man. But he’s not wrong!
The best part about a cookie cake for your boys birthday party is everybody is going to love it, and you can decorate it however you want to fit a specific theme you’re going for
You could buy a blank cookie cake, but I promise you this recipe is so much better than any store made cookie cake you would find
Plus, even those picky non-cake loving little ones will almost certainly want a piece of this cookie cake. If you want to be a smart cookie, check out the tutorial
Kit Kat Cake
Source: Recipe Girl
I want candy, candy, and more candy
Oh, and a bunch of chocolate. If this sounds like your kids this cake is PERFECT for you
The best thing about this cake is definitely the Kit Kats, or is it the chocolate? Or is it the fact that I’m eating a moist chocolate cake with Kit Kats on it? You get the message
This cake is perfect for a preteen who doesn’t have a theme in mind that you still want to impress or you can go with the construction theme or anything having to do with mud
There’s absolutely nothing not to love about this recipe
Chocolate is the answer, who cares what the question is!
Dirt Worm Cake
Source: Mommy Hates Cooking
None of my kids need to eat Gluten Free, but we still made this anyways because it sounded great
I’m happy we did because it was truly delicious. If your boys are gross like mine and they love worms, this cake is a great idea for you
After it rains they love to go outside and check out the worms that come out. Am I a bad mom for supporting their love for these animals and making this cake?
This cake is essentially a big version of the Dirt N Worms cup with a twist and it is worth making
It’s a very simple recipe and this tutorial breaks it down for you
Giant Smores Cake
Source: Aww Sam
This cake is truly Pinterest worthy!
It’s such a gorgeous and unique looking cake, and it’s not difficult to make either. I made this cake for the 4th of July because we spend it at my parent’s cottage up north, make a fire, and roast marshmallows
It would be a perfect Birthday Cake for different themes including hunting, wild animals, and outdoors
This cake was perfect for my little boy scout, and it would be perfect for yours too
Robot Birthday Cake
Source: Mom Vs The Boys
Beep Beep Beep Bop Bop Bop! I am a robot creator!
The only thing I needed this cake to do aside from taste amazing was to fold the 25,000 piles of laundry I had, take my son to soccer practice, make dinner, and do the endless amount of dishes in my sink
We can’t have everything, but we CAN have a robot cake that looks just as amazing as it tastes. This may look advanced, but it was really quite simple and it looked the part too!
This cake is sure to be a hit ?
Camouflage Cake
Source: My Kitchen Escapades
What I thought was going to be the most difficult birthday party EVER to throw (because I can’t just have guns all over my cake and decorations) turned out to be a great success!
We came across this camo cake recipe. It’s easy to throw together, and delicious too
The party was so much fun. Instead of using guns as decorations we gave all the kids water guns and we also hid little animals in our backyard for the kids to try to find
I will admit, this cake was the best part of the party
Legend of Zelda Hylian Shield Cake
Source: Happy To Wander
This cake might be my absolute favorite of the list. I grew up on Zelda and I’m so happy to say the legend has NOT died!
In midst of our little millennials, Zelda is on the Nintendo DS, Xbox, and computer
We did an all-out Super Smash Bro’s theme and it was an absolute hit with all the kids, and with this mommy too!
