Switching themes in your bullet journal can be quite the task!
Trust me… Whenever I’m setting up a new month, I always spend time scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking for inspiration
That’s why I put together these July monthly spread examples to cut down on that scroll time!
Here are the ones I really like:
Black & White July Monthly

Stunning minimalist work with this July monthly spread!
It reminds me a lot of a calendar you’d purchase at the store “planner style”. The calendar takes up the entirety of both the left and right side of the page, giving you plenty of room to write and highlight important events throughout the month
I also love how she has a cursive July and a cute grouping of cherries on the spread. It just gives it that little bit of decor to keep it neat, organized, and a little unique in its own way
Very pretty!

Minimalist turned EXTRA… I love the uniqueness of this spread with all the stickers!
Before completion of the month, you would think this was just a basic monthly spread with room to write down events, meetings, deadlines, etc. But the way she decorated this monthly spread for July is a whole new ball game, folks
First of all, the beautiful purple and pink pastel colors give it a stunning and summery positive vibe that I love for July. And on top of that the artwork behind a lot of her important events? So unique and pretty!
I love the tall glass of lemonade, and the bows and “be wonderful’ quote at the bottom
This is some serious summerspiration!
Beach Theme Monthly Spread

A day on the sand in July is my favorite type of day, so why not celebrate it all month long in your monthly spread?
This sandy seashell theme is sure to knock your sandy boots off, that’s for sure. I love the brown beige labels at the top and seashell drawings on the sides. It’s minimalist while still being fitting for summer, and easy to draw up while still having a uniquely aesthetic turn out
If your life’s a beach in July and you’re just playing in the sand, this spread will be your perfect sandspiration this July!

The “tides” have turned with this clean and optimal monthly spread for July!
Get it…. Tide cleaning? I know, I’m here all night ?
Seriously, this perfectly organized and neat setup could not be more optimal while still holding so much room for unique additions. I love the setup and the look of the calendar, but the left side of the page is definitely my favorite part of the spread
She has three other subcategories of things to keep track of including “3 main things I want to do in July, habits I want to develop, and things I want to learn more about”
I love the idea of keeping track of things like that all month!

“America, to me, is freedom” – Willie Nelson
Celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave with this independence day themed monthly spread for July! If there’s ever a time to celebrate “Merica” this is the time, and this monthly spread will not disappoint!
I love the big red bubble lettered July and the little red arrow decorations. There’s plenty of room to customize this with more decoration if you’d like, but it is pretty minimalist in its design and coloring
America the beautiful? More like bujo the beautiful this July!
July Spread WIth Leaves

How unbeleafably stunning is this leaf themed July cover spread?
A lot of people think of the fall when they picture leaves, but not here in Michigan. Of course, we do have those gorgeous red and orange colored leaves when September rolls around, but there’s nothing like the greenery that is Michigan when summer hit us after the brutal cold
We see flat out colorless dead trees from November-March (sometimes April) and green leaves are a blessing! I love how she has lots of room to write, but she still decorates with art, a cute quote, and some colorful shadings
Obsessed with this!

Anything is popsicle with this patriotic July monthly spread!
This gives independence day decor a run for its money, and I love the adorable doodles. Aren’t those red white and blue popsicles just your favorite? After a long summer day July day I love chilling out with those, and they are the only popsicles I buy
It’s gorgeously decorated with highlighted dates back and forth between red and white blue, popsicle drawings, with little stars and fireworks throughout
This has a lot of freedom packed into just a small monthly spread, so let freedom ring this July!

This has everything you could possibly want in a monthly spread. I love the hanging string light decor throughout the top of the page and I need to find some cat sticker like those for my own bullet journal
This Crazy Laura is more than just crazy, but crazy cat lady crazy. Although there is a lot going on as far as art and decorations in this spread, it’s still set up neat organized and leaves room for writing as well
Looking good, FELINE good this month 🙂

Looking to be the QUEEN of monthly spread?!
This super cute July spread is the perfect example of simple and productive! They have a basic productivity tracker in the top left, some room for notes underneath and the actual monthly spread next to that

How does the man on the moon get his haircut? ECLIPSE it!
I love this cloudy night time theme to the moon and back, it’s so adorable! This basic spread would be perfect for anyone who wants to focus more on the looks and doodles over the actual calendar
It’s decorated nicely but drawn up fast, looks neat and organized, and is a pretty versatile theme for the month. I like the look of having spaces between the boxes, and who doesn’t love the big sky with a golden moon?
Twinkle twinkle little star, how I love this monthly spread!

When you’re creating your spreads every month, what always stands out as something you look for?
I like unique setups. It’s no surprise that this one would be one of my favorites! I absolutely love how she has bolded rainbow letter signifying Monday-Sunday, and how the boxes are in a different kind of pattern than what you’d be used to
As simple as it is, it’s set up in a way I’ve never seen before that makes it unique, and fun to utilize
Find your funky this July with this monthly spread!
Green Monthly Layout

“Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises” – Pedro Calderon de la Barca
How wonderful is that quote? I love this green leaf and seashell themed monthly spread for July. Not only does green signify summer and all things growing and blooming, but the seashells are perfectly drawn
I love how the leaf drawings travel all around the page but still leave the calendar theme big and bold, ready to be written in
Go green this July!
July Space Theme Layout
Photo credit: Study & Stuff on Instagram
If you know me then you know I love a good space theme, and this one is out of this world, literally!
Not only is it full of little planets and stars, but the calendar theme itself is uniquely decorated with some spacetastic additions. The boxes that signify the days are different colors, and each colored box signifies something different, like an event or a different habit
This way, you can focus on your monthly spread and see what’s happening based on the color of the day
This is definitely my space jam this July!
Colorful Bujo Layout

I’m obsessed with the color scheme in this monthly spread for July!
I love pastel colors. I think they are bright, happy, and overall give life to a page no matter how you decide to use them. It’s covered in pink, purple, and green coloring, and everything is outlined ever so perfectly
My favorite part about this spread is the bubble letter “07” to the left of the page that has important reminders for the month under it. It’s set up very neatly, organized, and colorful. It’s minimalist while still showing personality
Keep it colorful this month!
July Monthly With Lemons

Let’s be real, fresh lemonade screams summertime. Do you ever find yourself making or getting lemonade in the winter?
I know I don’t. But then summer rolls around and it’s like I can’t get enough. Squeeze the day, or the MONTH with this lemon themed monthly spread for July!
I love the yellow highlighter used to outline the different days of the month and the life-like drawing of the lemon on the bottom right of the corner. This is a bright, colorful, and summery theme that I love with the calendar itself taking up both pages to be able to write or draw whatever important events needed
This is the ZEST!
Summer Monthly Spread

If you’re looking for messages in bottles this summer, this is the monthly spread for you!
I love the artwork in this spread. The boxes take up most of the two pages, but the bottom is stunning. There’s a black and bolded cursive July, sand, and a message in a bottle that is drawn gorgeously and life-like
There’s a lot of detail to this spread, and it screams summer with its sandy bottom and blue pastel outlined boxes
I don’t look for messages in a bottle as often anymore, but this theme makes me want to start!
Robot Monthly Spread
This is minimalist, yet the of the robot creeping onto the calendar is adorable, neatly and uniquely drawn. It gives it that extra pop of summer you may need for your spread in July
This is a really good spread for somebody who NEEDS to have room to write but wants to have a little bit going on in the spread itself
I’m nuts and bolts about this!
Floral July Spread
Photo credit: Cicero Papelaria on Instagram
This spread is just flat out stunning, and I don’t even have the words to describe the color scheme, set up, and execution of this monthly for July
I love how they used the floral pattern on the top and bottom to give it a super cute look without having to draw! Since I’m not much of a doodler… this spread is right up my alley
What more could you want than these flowers and a simple calendar?
If all of these spreads were flowers I would definitely PICK this one!

If you’re looking for summer vibes in a spread, HERE THEY ARE! From the orangesicle ice cream cone drawings to the red, yellow, and orange colors, everything about this is bright, beautiful, and full of summer
But don’t worry, this is very versatile in its use too. The boxes are big in the calendar for optimal utilization, and there’s still room to customize it if you want to

“When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in black and white, you photograph their souls” – Ted Grant
I don’t know what it is about black and white themes, but I have always been obsessed with them. They give off such a vintage vibe, especially when they are drawn with minimalism in mind<
This is STUNNING! The calendar is centered and drawn to perfection, and the flowers to the left gives it that vintage vibe that I love so much about the black and white themes
I love this!
Lady Bug Bujo Spread
Photo credit: Amiza Omar on Instagram
If you’re looking for a cute and simple July spread than this adorable ladybug theme is the one for you this summer!
I love the cute teeny tiny little ladybug drawings, and the littler outlined red calendar to go with it. Because the calendar is smaller, it looks like there is habit and sleeping trackers on the right side of the page, also in red
I love the idea of a brave little ladybug theme, don’t you?
LADY(bug) in reeeeeed!
Bee July Monthly Layout
This spread is so BEEautiful, and perfect for all of us busy bee’s this July!
Aside from the cute artwork of the bees flying throughout the page and how you can see their little trails in the monthly spread, I absolutely love the color palette and the setup
Pastel pink, yellow, green, and blue is used giving it so much color with a minimalist amount of work. The bee artwork gives it a summertime feel that I love too!
Something I also noticed was on the right side of the page she has a to-do list that could take up the vertical area where it’s drawn. Which gives you that extra space to make sure you’re documenting and keeping track of things effectively
Love it!
Ocean Theme July Spread
Looking for an adorable under the sea themed spread??
If so, then look no further! I love the super simple layout of the calendar paired with the watercolor “doodles” surrounding it
She uses an “07” to signify the month of July… but I could also see this spread with a large cursive July header above the calendar! Plus, you could add a small habit or sleep tracker to the bottom for even more efficiency
I’m jelly of this monthly spread!
