DIY Grid Shoe Storage

Life is short, buy the shoes. And then once the regret kicks in (because WHY DOES IT ALWAYS), have no fear. You will be able to organize every shoe you “regretfully” purchase with this grid style shoe storage display, and it will ease the pain. This grid wire mesh is actually just ordered on Amazon, and she had the brilliant idea of hanging her heels on it. This is made for a shoe with a heel, so it would look perfect as a display in a walk-in closet or in a front laundry room. No regrets!
DIY Industrial Shoe Rack

I make shoe contact before eye contact, does anybody else have this problem? Is it really a problem though? This industrial shoe rack is wooden beauty with a bold dark finish and I could see it fitting perfectly inside an entryway or laundry room. It’s sturdy and small, but big enough for winter boots, stilettos, or anything your heart desires. It has an end table feel with a rustic vibe that I’m all about. You will definitely love this one!
Closet Shoe Organization

What do you think about stacking your shoes? Personally, I think this such an organized way to go about shoe storage, but labeling is crucial when executing this tactic. Her bins aren’t 100% clear for her stacked shoes, but she has every pair labeled just right with subtitles like “heels, tennis shoes, sandals” etc. If you’ve got the room in your closet to stack, I say go for it!
Wooden Peg Shoe Organization

Take life one “step” at a time with this awesome idea for shoe organization! What I love so much about this specific DIY project is that with just boards and some shaker pegs, you can build it right into your closet, and it will open up so much space, not to mention look incredibly nifty too! As she states, all you need to do is drill the holes, attach the boards to the wall, add the pegs, and then finish with wet paint, decoration, or spray paint to your liking. Super nifty idea!
Shoe Cubby

SO many shoes and only two feet, what is a girl to do!!! I’ll tell you exactly what you could do: build this rusticly farmhouse looking shoe cubby, that’s what! This is big, bold, and beautiful. I love the wood look, and the giant cubby looks perfect in an entryway of a home, especially if you have a hallway that may be more narrow. I WOOD take a look at this, you won’t want to miss out

Shoes off, please. Does anyone else have to remind their kids 15 times a day to take off their muddy and sweaty shoes? This is the perfect shoe rack for those of us who have a lot of shoes, who also have kids… with a lot of shoes. It’s a DIY project out of wooden boards, screws, and many household materials. The finished product looks a lot like a big shelf with different stacks. And can we talk about the white paint she uses for a more expensive feel to these actually very inexpensive shelves? Looks so good!
Cheap Homemade Shoe Rack

Good shoes take you good places, it’s just a fact. This organizational tactic for your best shoes to go to the best places is amazing! Like a cubby, this has the same execution (placing shoes on top of shoes) but these cubbies are triangle instead of the usual square. How “acute’ is that? Plus, this takes less than seven materials and less than two hours to complete. If you aren’t fond of woodworking just yet, this is the perfect project for you. Time to travel in organizational style!
Crown Molding Shoe Rack Tutorial
Source: Geniabeme
I just rescued a pair of shoes. They were stuck inside the store! See, it’s that simple. Just change your mindset and all of your shoe purchases actually turn into nonprofit worK. This organization technique is pretty in pink, takes up hardly any room, and looks neat and organized. She uses cheap crown molding, a couple of screws, pink paint, and some anchors and her shoe organization travels up the wall. So this opens up so much space, and there’s nothing even on the ground for organization. A wall of shoes… Who wouldn’t want that?
How to Make A Wooden Shoe Rack
Source: Apartment Therapy
You really can’t buy happiness. But you can buy shoes and that’s kind of the same thing right? This is one of the simplest DIY wooden shoe racks I have seen to date. With four materials, seven tools, and a couple of hours of time you’ll have your very own rustic shoe rack that will make any laundry room look neat and organized. If you’re looking for something quick and easy then wood you look at this?
Entryway DIY Shoe Rack

Speaking of the “rustic” look, this wooden shoe rack SCREAMS rustic with a whole lot of modern. For only $15? And trust me when I say it does not look cheap. That’s a steal! This almost has the look of an end table and the paint with dark cedar wood and grey finishing. Cheap, inexpensive, and perfect for any laundry room, entry hallway, or walk in closet. I love the versatility, and how small the rack itself is because you could use one for a certain kind of shoe or make more than one for the whole collection. I’m all about this one!
Super-Sized Shoe Rack

When I was younger, my mom always told me that shoe shopping was cheaper and just as effective as a therapist. My 20’s were hard, and let’s just say I have a TON of shoes now. This DIY giant sized shoe rack is so important folks, and it will solve that “messy and shoes everywhere” look of any walk-in closet or entryway. These remind me of giant opened dresser drawers. The process is simple, there are pictures to make it easier than ever, and the turn out is big, bold, wooden, and beautiful. If it’s big enough for me, it will be big enough for you. I promise.
DIY Under Bed Shoe Organizer

There’s no room for monsters under this bed, there are too many shoes! I absolutely love his under the bed shoe organizer, because I’m the type of person who hates any sort of clutter, even when the clutter is neat and organized. This removes all of the clutter, in fact, makes the clutter invisible while still granting easy access to the shoes. If you’re an open space and neat freak kinda gal or guy like I am, this is going to be the DIY project for you!
Pallet Ladder Shoe Storage
Source: Remodelaholic
This is truly the definition of climbing the ladder to heaven… Or to a bunch of shoes. How unique is this shoe storage ladder idea? Most of us have that storage, especially in a kids bedroom that is just too tall for them to reach. This ladder looks neat in a closet, makes it easy to get to the goods, and if you DON’T already have that storage this will give you another idea in creating storage with boards as well. I love this!

“Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world” – Marilyn Monroe
Is there anything more vintage than the Marilyn Monroe herself? This vintage boot rack might be! I absolutely love this look, she uses old wooden boxes that are scratched up, jaded, and color shading is disappearing for that farmhouse vintagey style. If you’re into that, I guarantee you’ll be into this wooden crates boot rack!

This may be my favorite DIY shoe organization project, it’s simply stunning. All you need for this awesome and versatile shoe rack is a ladder and some wood piping. Sometimes I walk into a store like American Eagle or H&M and am in complete awe of how they organize their clothing so completely perfect, and so homely. She bought about 6 for shoes, and denim clothing, and scarves, etc… Then, she used price tags from Michaels for an added touch. Her closet looks just like a neat and organized clothing store, and now yours can too!

This DIY custom shoe storage project is extremely versatile! It’s made by purchasing a Rubbermaid fast track system, where you can assemble shelves, drawers, accessories, etc. He chose to assemble the rack, then painted it white, installed it into the closet, and voila!
