That’s why I put together this list of the best spice rack ideas and organization tutorials so we can both get our spices under control

Who knew you could use cheap Ikea frame ledges as stunning holders for spices in a kitchen? I absolutely the set up of this kitchen. And my favorite part about it happens to be the unique spice rack! This is the perfect DIY project for those of us who don’t have time to measure, sand, bolt, and drill but just want something that’s going to work (and look good at the same time) Unused Ikea frame ledges will you set you back about $20, IF THAT, and will have your kitchen looking modern, neat, and ridiculously organized. She has a super cute sign on the top shelf, with spices in mason jars on the shelves below that give a nice farmhouse charm to the kitchen. How stunning does this look?
Simple Spice Storage

This is A-mason! Putting your spices in a mason jar means a lot of different things. First of all, mason jars are in. Using them for anything will make your trendier lol… The best part about mason jars? Filling them with spices means it’s rare you would ever run out. I always find myself running out of the little containers that spices come in, and it hits you before you know it. You’ll be able to see exactly what you have left. Plus, no building involved here! You can place the jars wherever you see it working in your kitchen, and create the cute little tags like beanie babies have to label them. “Jam” to these mason jars all year long!
Simple Spice Drawer Organization

This idea for storing your spices is sure to SPICE up your life! Not only do I love the idea of using mason jars for spices because the colors and combinations look amazing, but this idea takes it to the next level. Using a drawer, you can easily place each labeled spice in a long drawer. When you open up the drawer, the colors are stunning and look so cool! You can either build in your own drawer or use one that’s not being used in the kitchen already, requiring hardly any work if that’s the case. Love is an open DRAWER, and I am in love with this idea!

I’m in love with this floating shelf spice rack! It’s modern, it’s simple and it’s super easy to access all your spices. It doesn’t get more affordable and easier to find than scrap wood, especially if you or a friend already have some laying around, then it’s free! Have you ever seen those wine racks in kitchens? Never trust an atom, they make up EVERYTHING! What do you think about this sciencey spice rack idea? It’s a pretty cool DIY “science” project. The design of the spice racks themselves is definitely my favorite part of this because I love how the spices sit right up on the counter in little test tubes like containers. The rack is easily made out of walnut wood, and it’s quite stunning while being very easy to construct. It’s quick, cheap, easy, and plain awesome. What could be better than that?

This idea is so savvy it might make you TIER up! This is a two-tiered drawer, meaning there is optimal space for all of your spices. It can be created from any drawer you have in your kitchen, or you can create your own drawer if you better see that project fitting in your home. I like how it’s so neat and organized, yet stored away and unseen in the kitchen to protect from clutter. It’s easy to make, ridiculously cheap (you can get this small amount of plywood for $20 or less), and can be done in no time! Don’t cry over clutter in your pantry, have TIERS of happiness over this DIY spice drawer!

How cute are these spices just “HANGING” out in the kitchen? I’ll admit it, I’m not good with power tools. I’m striving to be better every day with new projects and small DIY crafts, but it’s still not my strong suit… most of the time my husband has to be available to help me when I need an extra hand. I definitely don’t need him for this! These spices are hanging on some wire and a wood board, a lot like a key holder that you have at your front door. Ikea is everything, don’t you think? I live about an hour and a half away from the nearest Ikea, and you better believe I find myself there at least a couple times a year. This spice rack shelf is made using Ikea Belkram shelves, but you could pick up some that are similar at most home goods stores. All you need is 5 materials and about $20 dollars for this industrial farmhouse spice rack. You can place the rack anywhere you see fit in your kitchen and it just adds a kick of a rustic industrial vibe. Plus, you could paint the rack any color you wish and customize the size, shape, and placement. Give your spices some farmhouse charm!
DIY Magnetic Dollar Store Spice Rack

I’ve never met a dollar I don’t like, but this may be one of my favorites! All you need for this “DIY project” (it’s so simple you may not even want to call it that) are magnetic containers and a cookie sheet that you probably already have. Fill the magnetic jars with your spices, place them on the cookie sheet, hang the cookie sheet, and voila! You have colorful spices hanging from a simple cookie sheet looking unique as ever in your kitchen. Another day, another dollar… This project will have people thinking you are one smart cookie!

Don’t be afraid to take “whisks” while you’re baking. And use ALL the spices. I’ve found that the more I season something, the better it tastes. So naturally, I own a lot of spices. This rustic spice cabinet will store all of the numerous spices you have, and will look darn good doing it! With plywood, some nails and smoky grey paint, you can create your own little cabinet that can be stored in any space you please but is also rusticly modern enough to be placed right on the kitchen counter. Spices just get placed right into this little cabinet, so customizing labels could be in the cards for this project as well since you’ll only be able to see the tops. Rusticly gorgeous!

Message in a bottle, how about spices in a bottle?! I love the different shapes and sizes of these little message in a bottle looking containers for spices. She has them set up in her pantry using a couple of the shelves. It’s neat, organized, and all of the colors of the spices look really pretty in the pantry and add a homey touch. You could purchase these containers on Amazon, in your local target, or even Walmart in the glasses and jars section for under $40! Move your spices over and you have your very own “spicy messages” in bottles in your pantry!

Sodalicious! How vintage is this Coca-Cola spice rack? I love how she takes a rack she had laying around and turns it into something absolutely awesome. She had a Coca-Cola rack, but you could have any old vintage rack or storage container hanging around waiting to be used for the ultimate spice storage. Using picture hangers, she is able to easily hang the entire rack in her kitchen and easily place the spices right into the rack. The addition of the 5 main spices she uses on the top of the rack is a cute little twist too. Easy, fun, and so unbelievably vintage. I am obsessed!

By purchasing these for less than $20 and creating an available small drawer space to put them, and your spices into… you will open up a near and organized drawer of pure spicy happiness every time. I love how she takes a glass tray she purchased from Michaels, adds black trim to match her kitchen, labels her spice jars, and places them right on a shelf in the kitchen in plain sight, looking beautiful. You could find a glass tray anywhere, even often at a dollar store or target, and could add trim to fit into your own kitchen. Some people say money can’t buy happiness, but I know for a fact these three dollars would make me and my cluttered pantry very, very happy. How creative is this DIY spice rack? Wow, everything about this kitchen makeover is absolutely gorgeous! They redid the cabinets, and flooring, opened the kitchen up, added an island, and added a stain to the counter. This is a huge project, but some of the little things done in the kitchen are doable… plus, they’ll add uniqueness and modernity to an otherwise boring kitchen
For example, the colorfully displayed spices. They built in a modern rack, painted white, right into the wall for the spices, moved them into “message in a bottle” like jars… then filled them with spices and labeled them in a practical way. A brand new kitchen with an awesome designed spice rack!
