There are only two ways to do Easter desserts… super last minute (like me) or going all out!
I found the best dessert ideas for both scenarios. So, whether you’re on top of it or just need something quick, you’ll find the perfect one for you…
Here are the ones I like:
Easter Oreo Bark That’s Super Easy
Source: Surburban Simplicity
It’s cute that they sell family Oreo size boxes thinking that I am actually planning on sharing these with my family
I don’t know what it is about Oreos….
Maybe it’s the sweet chocolate wafers or the fact they look like a sandwich cookie. Maybe it’s the fact that they are so cheap, yet so delicious
Nope, it’s definitely the sweet creme filling. Double stuffed is the. Best.
These little cookies have been a game changer since 1912, can you believe it? I have yet to meet a single person who doesn’t love, or at least like Oreos
That’s what makes this Easter Oreo bark so delicious! You can make this in less than five minutes, it’s tasty, and it’s decorative. This is truly delicious!
Fun Easter Brownie Recipe
Source: Best Friends For Frosting
Brownies are easy to make in a pinch and still full on decadent, and that’s why many of the best dessert recipes happen to be brownies
These spring celebration brownies are so cute! Adding cracked and full easter egg M&M’s give the look of hatched and unhatched eggs, and they turn out so pretty!
This is another treat that could be used as a lesson plan, teaching your kids about baby birds and how they hatch from eggs. I’m all about this one!
Easter No-Bake Mini Cheesecakes
Source: Sugar Hero
Sometimes I wrestle with my inner demons… You know the ones telling me to hit the gym, eat raw and clean, and do yoga every morning
Other times the demons and I just hug and eat cheesecake ?
These no-bake mini cheesecakes were something my family and I absolutely could not pass up this Easter.
We were all making jokes about how we “ate three whole cakes in one day!” because they are so tiny. My husband, the complainer, surprisingly liked them the best out of everybody!
That’s how I know they really are THAT good
To Die For Carrot Cake
Source: Mom On Timeout
Carrot Cake counts as a vegetable, right? I never realized how fitting carrot cake would be on Easter because ya know, Easters eat carrots
While we were creating the mini cheesecakes my little Mitchy actually looked at me and said…
“Why aren’t we making carrot cake?”
I was very confused but after he explained himself it was like WOW, is this kid smarter than me?
This recipe is easy, delicious, and would be a great celebratory dessert
You could even make it for the Easter Bunny the night before he comes to drop off the presents in the basket
Guarantee he will eat it… if you make this carrot cake recipe ?
Spring Marshmallow Krispie Treats
Source: Meatloaf and Melodrama
Why are kids obsessed with these sticky gooey rice Krispie treats? That is exactly what I was thinking to myself while preparing these the night before my Mitchy’s second grade Easter party at school.
I threw out about a million idea’s for treats but he wanted boring old rice Krispie treats. I found this, and not only were they decorative and cute (not boring) but my goodness they tasted AMAZING!
These are chewy, gooey, and the secret treat in the middle of them give them the perfect amount of chocolate flavoring
Plus, my son brought the container home after school completely empty, so I was super excited that the kids loved them
All around success with these!
Funfetti Cake Mix Cookies
Source: My Organized Chaos
These funfetti cake mix cookies are, well, FUN! I found out about cake mix cookies last year and my life has forever been changed for the better
It is so much easier to bake cookies this way, especially if you have little chefs who won’t even let you pour ⅓ cup of milk by yourself without crying that “I WANTED TO DO IT!” sound familiar?
Kids love funfetti, and let’s face it, we do too. Plus, the Easter M&M’s that go into these make them so so yummy and so decorative and cute with a fun Easter twist!
No Bake Mini Egg Cheesecake
Source: Taming Twins
Here is another take on the ever so delicious classic cheesecake with an Easter kick!
The difference between these and the kind I made are a few different ingredients and the unique tower of Easter M&M’s
I haven’t had a chance to make these yet since our family made the other kind but I would love to hear input on what you think
A cheesecake a day takes the pain away, and this looks EGGSELENT!
Easter Muddy Buddies
Source: Frugal Mom Eh
Storytime, so you know this recipe is going to be a good one ?
The first time our family made muddy buddies (puppy chow is what it is called in our house) I wasn’t home. In fact, I’m not the biggest puppy chow fan
My husband, on the other hand, loves it more than any other treat. I guess he decided to take matters into his own hands and spend time making it with our kids, so he could eat most of it I’m sure
After it was done he put it out in our back porch to cool because we live in Michigan so naturally it gets cold at night, every night. He went into the computer room to check his email and I guess our kids thought this puppy chow was actually for our dog
They opened up the back porch, took the bowl, took our dog pucks bowl and filled it with puppy chow
LUCKILY, I came home as this was happening
It’s safe to say he was not only in the dog (puppy) house, but he’s banned from puppy chow all together
If your husband isn’t… this is a delicious and easy puppy chow with an Easter twist! Some of the puppy chow is dyed pink and there are Easter M&M’s throughout
This is an easy way to make a treat to feed a lot of little ones, or your family for a while. Very cute!
Easter No Bake Birds Nest Cookies
Source: The Recipe Rebel
These no-bake birds nest cookies are just as pretty to look at as they are delicious to eat!
I’ve definitely mentioned my love for birds before, and waking up to the sweet chirping in the morning when spring arrives is one of my favorite parts of March/April
Let’s be honest, no bake cookies are everyone’s thing, and this adorable recipe will be a favorite
You can talk to your kids about how birds make their nest out of sticks in tree’s, and how they lay eggs, and that way when summer comes around and it’s time to make a bird feeder they will already have all the knowledge they need!
Spring Confetti Bars
Source: Chelsea’s Messy Apron
I’m wondering if any other mommy has had a “bar” phase like I have??
I don’t mean being in the bar that serves alcohol more often than not (although I did have that phase in college too) but I’m talking about DESSERT bars!
Last winter my sister made these amazingly delicious no-bake bars and it was all the inspiration I needed. that fall I told my kids once a month I was going to make them different bars to go into their lunchboxes
They are easy, extremely delicious, and will last for a couple of weeks. When spring came around last year I stumbled upon these and knew they were the winner for March
WOW, these were my absolute favorite bars made throughout the entire year! They are extremely decorative and cute but also taste absolutely amazing too
It’s safe to say I was drunk on these spring confetti bars. Get drunk with me!
Easter Cadbury Cookies
Source: Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons
Did you know that In 1824, John Cadbury opened a grocer’s shop where among other things, he sold cocoa and drinking chocolate, which he prepared himself using a pestle and mortar?
It’s no wonder Cadbury cookies are an all-time classic! These are just like the originals with an Easter Egg in the middle
Cadbury cookies are very easy to make and take few ingredients so these would be perfect in a pinch. If the question is Cadbury the answer is always yes!
Peeps Easter Bunny Dirt Cups
Source: Mommys Fabulous Finds
I feel like a five year old saying this, but my favorite treat of all time is dirt cups. I’m not kidding, you could ask my husband or anyone in my family
For being quite the baker, it’s pretty ridiculous how often I bring dirt cups to events and parties. I can’t be the only one, because this treat is extremely popular
This is the classic take on dirt n worms, except peeps and easter egg candies instead! These look absolutely delicious!
Peanut Butter Eggs
Source: Dinner at the Zoo
One does not simply eat just one Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, EGGSspecially around the holidays!
This peanut butter egg recipe will make a whole batch for you and your family, or maybe just you. Sharing is a nice gesture. Stupid, but nice ?
Something I liked about this recipe was the fact that you can customize semi-sweet chocolate, milk chocolate, or white chocolate. If you’re a Reese’s fine this recipe is a must try!
Easter Bunny Brownies
Source: Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons
These Easter Bunny brownies are so aesthetically pleasing, not to mention delicious! If you’re looking for a treat that will look just as good as it tastes, this is your Instagram worthy dessert
The recipe ends up cutting 6 brownies, so you could double or triple up if you need more than that
Show somebunny you love them this Easter with these!
Easter Bunny Cake
Source: Preppy Kitchen
This strawberry easter bunny cake turns out beautiful, and the recipe is so good that you could take the Easter decor off this cake at any time and still have an amazing strawberry cake recipe
This will take quite a bit of preparation, but the end product would be something people would not stop talking about! The idea of Strawberry cake did not sound appealing to me until my best friend’s wedding a couple summers ago
Her wedding cake was a strawberry flavor, and it changed my life. If you have never had one, this recipe is a great place to start!
Easter Pastel Popcorn Recipe
Source: Mom Foodie
Confession time: I have a bowl of popcorn every single night. I’m not sure what it is about these kernels of pure joy but they are so satisfying and keep me full (and from indulging in an entire batch of things I make my kids, like bars)
This gourmet Easter popcorn recipe looks absolutely delicious and would be perfect for a school party, or event needed to feed more than average
I’ll admit my kids and I made this and not only did we have a blast, but we all enjoyed the popcorn as our night time snack for several days before Easter. Poptacular!
Easter Bunny Cupcakes
Source: This Grandma Is Fun
There’s a famous quote, and it says “happiness is only a cupcake away”
Well, I’m at my happiest with a cupcake in each hand (and a cold glass of wine on the table)
These Easter Bunny cupcakes are one of those recipes that look as good as they taste. Using marshmallows, you cut diagonally to create bunny ears, with an absolutely delectable buttercream white frosting signifying the bunny’s fluffy tail
Plus, you can let your little one add pink sparkles to the ears for an elegant finishing touch. I will definitely be trying this soon!
Easter Chick Cupcakes
Source: Only Crumbs Remain
When my little Mitchy was in preschool he was gifted a baby chick at the end of the year. A lot of the mom’s in the class were thinking:
“Wow, how absolutely adorable I can’t wait to take it home and watch my little one play with it!”
I knew better because chicks don’t just stay chicks. I hate to say it but having a chicken walking around your house outside the summer and then coming inside in the wintertime isn’t exactly how we do it in the suburbs.
I let Mitchy play with the chick for a week, and we gave it to a nice farm owner to take care of. We went and visited “bob” (why he named this tiny little chick bob I have no idea) several times in the summer before getting ice cream and it turned out to be an amazing summertime activity.
These Easter chick cupcakes require a little more preparation beforehand, but the end product is truly Instagram worthy! They’re so realistic looking, and the frosting you will prepare is buttercream, my favorite
If you try these before I get a chance to, please let me know what you think!
Cadbury Egg Brownies
Source: Cincy Shopper
This Cadbury egg recipe is WAY too easy for how delicious and aesthetically pleasing it turns out! Plus, one of almost everybody’s favorite Easter treats in their baskets are Cadbury eggs
Your kids will love making this with you, and it will put them in the mood for the holiday. All you need is a brownie mix base, some powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and chocolate frosting; all things I’m sure are already in your kitchen
This recipe creates tasty brownies with layers, exactly like a gooey Cadbury egg!
Spring Carrot Patch Brownies
Source: Crayons & Cravings
If you love gooey brownies, and you love Oreos, here it is! This is the treat for you this Easter
This carrot patch brownie uses orange and green frosting to mirror the way a carrot looks when it is coming up from the ground, while still adding a unique twist with the crumbled Oreos on top
I was looking at what to make with my kids when I found this and it turned into an all-out lesson plan about how carrots come from the ground. Mitch piped in and said
“Well, we could put gummy worms on the brownie too because it’s the ground!”
I think I have a future chef on my hands…
Bunny Butt Ice Cream Cones
Source: Hungry Happenings
This is my absolute favorite treat yet! Let’s be honest, there is nothing cuter than a bunny’s little fluffy butt, NOTHING!
When I saw this Bunny butt ice cream cone I knew it had to happen in my home
I don’t know what it is, or if you guys are experiencing this… but my Mitch is at the age where the word “butt” is hilarious? Why are boys the way they are? This is a question I started asking myself at about 12 years old and I have not stopped wondering since ?
The first time we watched finding Nemo my husband started laughing when Nemo and all his school friends were saying “I touched the butt!” So apparently this phase does not end
This recipe is super easy for how funny, cute, and delicious it turns out! Plus, your kids will get a laugh making it and the end product will be Pinterest worthy. Touch your bunny butts here!
Bird’s Nest Mini Oreo Cheesecakes
Source: Five Heart Home
I have never had muffin pan cheesecakes, but one of the moms in Casey’s class brought them for a Christmas party we had and I have to say, they were so, so, good!
When I talked with her about the recipe she explained that she believes they are easier to make this way and it took her less time overall. I have yet to try it but will be doing so soon
This mini oreo cheesecake easter dessert recipe uses an already made, store bought cookie filling which takes the preparation time down quite a bit, which is always a plus. This recipe is essentially a cheesecake, with an oreo in the middle, and a Cadbury egg on top. Um, YUM!
Carrot Strawberries
Source: Life Love Liz
These carrot strawberries are incredibly easy to make, and end up looking just like sparkly carrots!
All you need is a pound of strawberries, orange candy melting chips, and orange sparkling sugar (which is optional) This is a perfect spring twist to these summer fruits we enjoy all year long, and your kids will love the orange kick the flavoring
I think these are perfect for a school lunch, or for an after-school snack. Very cool!
Easter Egg Suprise Cake
Source: I Am Baker
This Easter Egg surprise inside cake will have everyone talking! Not only does the pink soft buttercream frosting look to die for, but as soon as you cut into it… a rainbow surprise!
Kids love surprises whether it be in their food, lunchboxes, bedrooms, anything unexpected is a hit for them. This will be so delicious and the surprise will have them so excited!
I definitely recommend making this ??
Swirled Pastel Cake
Source: The Flavor B
On Christmas every year I make my family a homemade “Happy Birthday Jesus Cake”
My kids look forward to this every year and it wasn’t until last year that I thought up the idea to do this on Easter
If you are of religious faith then you know how important this Holiday is in the church, just as much as Christmas.
This pastel swirled cake would be an amazing “Happy Risen From the Dead Day” cake. If you’re not religious, just make it because it’s THAT good, and adorable too!
There are few ingredients needed for this and it’s definitely Instagram worthy. You’ll thank me for this one!
