Chipotle Steak Burrito Bowl
Just in “queso” you didn’t know, I’m a huge Chipotle fan. There are so many options and when you go to chipotle, the bigger the scoops the better…. without any guilt! A steak burrito bowl from Chipotle is less than 400 calories, and is loaded with, well…. Anything your heart desires! It’s so easy to skip the cheese when you have endless beans, veggies, pico, and a million salsas to choose from!
KFC Honey BBQ Sandwich
Son of a Kentucky fried biscuit, this KFC Honey BBQ sandwich is the best thing since fried… chicken!
I am obsessed with this healthy option for a sandwich from KFC. Small but mighty and loaded with 14 grams of protein, only 3 grams of fat, and a whole heck of a lot of BBQ flavor. All you need to do is opt-out of sauces and into barbeque sauce with this southern favorite from KFC!
Starbuck’s Quinoa and Chicken Protein Bowl
Half-human/ half coffee like I am? On a tight schedule during the week? Accomplish the coffee AND lunch at the same time with this protein bowl. Loaded with quinoa, chicken, greens, and beans, this will be SO satisfying, so healthy, and less than 450 calories all together. I love this one a latte!
Jimmy John’s Turkey Tom with a Sandwich Twist
Let’s be honest… Sometimes, I need it freaky fast. But I don’t need it freaky fattening! If you haven’t had a chance to order a Jimmy John’s sub on split wheat sandwich bread, prepare to meet your new favorite fast food option. I always order the turkey tom on the split wheat, add basil, cucumber, light oil and vinegar, tomato, lettuce, and salt and pepper. This is at least 20 grams of protein, less than 10 grams of fat, and less than 500 calories!
Two Soft Taco’s from TBell
I’m the type of person who will commit SINS for Taco Bell. When that bell is dinging in my head, nothing solves the issue like my favorite drive-thru does. I’ve definitely learned over time that while there are so many amazing unhealthy choices but, the healthy options are ENDLESS! Try the soft taco’s, either fresco with steak or chicken for only 300 calories, 20 grams of protein, and that spicy sensational taste only your nearest TBell has!
Mcdonald’s Hamburger with a Green Side
There is something so incredibly yummy about a Mcdonald’s Hamburger, don’t you think so? It definitely helps that they are only a dollar, too! Ask for a side salad, and you have yourself a satisfying, healthy, CHEAP meal for less than 400 calories!
Arby’s Roast Turkey & Swiss Wrap
Let me go ahead and make your day with this Arby’s wrap that is less than 350 calories, loaded with protein and fiber, and too tasty to pass up! All you have to do to make this as healthy as I do is opt-out of the mayo and opt into the mustard with this one!
My go-to order at Subway for less than 500 calories
Get ready to be amazed at this satisfying, filling, ultimate healthy sub from Subway. I always order a foot long on wheat with turkey, lettuce, tomato, green pepper, onion, spinach, cucumber, mustard, salt, pepper, and a little bit of creamy sriracha sauce. Spicy, loaded up with flavor, and only 450 calories for the entire foot long! EAT FRESH!
Chicken Fajitas from Applebee’s
Chicken Fajitas have absolutely saved me in so many situations where I’m watching my summer body, but want to have a social life at the same time. Stop saying no to dinner’s with friends, and yes to fajitas. When ordering Fajitas from Applebee’s or your favorite restaurant, opt-in for corn tortillas and save half of them, go light on the cheese and sour cream, and load up on the protein and veggies!
Chic-fil-A Grilled Chicken Nuggs’
There’s a reason the line at the drive-thru of my nearest Chic-fil-A is always wrapped around and around with cars everywhere, it’s BOMB. The 8 count grilled chicken nuggets are about as healthy as you can get in (or out) of a fast food drive-thru, only have 185 calories, and a whopping 25 grams of protein! I love to order these with a small market salad, and it keeps me full all day long!
Subway Veggie Delight Salad
Sometimes I feel like I must be cheating with this veggie delight salad from subway because somehow it is only 60… 60 CALORIES!! This is literally piled full of greens and all of your favorite veggies. When I order a salad here it’s the largest salad at any fast food chain I’ve ever been given. Plus, at only 60 calories for the entire thing, you can choose any dressing that you would like! I highly recommend trying the salad with Southwest dressing and a little oil and vinegar! Subway is THE way to go!
Mushroom Chicken at Panda Express
Panda express is my weakness. No seriously, it’s impossible for me to resist that spicy tangy take out! It wasn’t until recently that I broke away from the orange chicken and started exploring, but boy am I happy I did. The mushroom chicken at Panda express comes with tangy saucy grilled chicken breast, and a huge helping of zucchini and mushroom to fill you up. It’s less than 300 calories, so load up on the unhealthy lo mein or chicken fried rice on the side if you want with no guilt!
Qdoba Chicken Salad
Doba, doba, doba… one of my very favorite places to frequent. Why, you ask? Prices, portion, and perfection! Next time you pass a Qdoba stop, walk-in, order a chicken salad without the edible tortilla shell bowl, load up on EVERYTHING including the guac and sour cream, and I guarantee you’ll still be under 500 calories… for the huge portion size of lean protein, fibrous veggies, and zesty sauces. Plus, nothing is extra. And chips are free, too!
Burrito from Taco Bell, Power Menu Style
Burrito’s scared me for the longest time. Plus, I’m always the one who has so many fillings that the shell breaks and they DOUBLE up the tortilla like it’s something I want. Excuse me… Watching my summer bod here! At your nearest TBell they understand you want to watch your weight while still getting your burrito fixing in. This giant hefty pile of health is less than 500 calories, comes with chicken, lettuce, tomato, rice, and a toasty tortilla. So perfect on the go too!
Sushi at… your nearest grocery store?
That’s right… I said it. Head to your nearest Meijer, Family Fare, Kroger, you name it… the sushi is there. And it’s “rolling” in health, too! You can get a Spicy California Roll for less than 5 dollars and 300 calories! Buy some rice or a side salad and you have yourself a healthy, cheap, delicious, meal!
Grilled Chicken Sandwich From BK
My favorite part about this sandwich? The fact that it is large and in charge! Seriously, this is such a big sandwich, and so filling. Plus, it’s loaded with zesty chicken flavor, fresh tomato, and lettuce so you will hardly notice skipping the mayo, or asking for it on the side. I ask them to add honey mustard and salt and pepper instead and the whole thing is only 400 calories! Maybe Burger King really IS the king of sandwiches…
Vanilla Ice Cream Cone from Mcdonald’s
What? You thought I wasn’t going to finish this off with some yummy healthy ice cream? When (MCDONALD’S ICE CREAM MACHINE ISN’T BROKEN AFTER 10 PM) You can get yourself a small ice cream cone that is surprisingly large for only 170 calories. They use low-fat ice cream (only about 5 grams), with a lower carb count of only 30 grams too. All that cream with absolutely no guilt… those golden arches have never looked brighter and better!

At Chipotle, the burrito or salad bowls are both great healthy options!! Just don’t go crazy on the cheese, salad dressing or sour cream!
