Are you in need of a quick and easy rainy day DIY craft to keep the kids entertained!?
Not only will you be able to recycle those old egg cartons from all the Sunday morning breakfasts, but the kids will also love doing it…
I picked a variety of different projects ranging from a simple Minecraft themed craft to a Christmas Tree or fire breathing dragon! You’ll definitely find something they like ?
Here are the ones that stood out to me:
Egg Carton Bee Craft for Kids
Source: Buggy and Buddy
Spring is in the air, and this Bee egg carton craft is absolutely adorable!
Did you know that Bee’s are on the endangered list?
It’s so sad to think our children’s children may never get the opportunity to experience that loss of innocence with the first sting of the spring. Or is it?
Really though, our flowers need those little workers. So for now, this is a great way to celebrate spring, bee ’s, and an easy craft that will have your little ones smiling!
Egg Carton Flowers

If you’re going to celebrate spring with some cute little bumble bee’s, why not add some flowers?
These are cute, easy, and fun to make
My family and I did this craft last spring and my little Casey dug up some dirt where I was planting flowers and set her egg carton flower next to all of my plants and seeds. It was so cute!
DIY Love Bug Egg Carton Craft

Is Valentine’s day a hectic and stressful experience for all mommy’s out there or is it just me?
Making the box, finding the Valentines, writing all of the valentines for your kids while they sit there whining, etc…
I’m always the last one asleep the day before the Valentine’s day celebration
WELL, not this year!
Casey and I made these egg carton “love bugs” and they are ADORABLE
She picked 6 of her favorite friends at school to receive them and was fine with generic valentines day cards for the rest of her friends at school and we had a blast making them
Love bites, right?
Egg Carton Sea Life Recycled Craft
Source: Fantastic Fun & Learning
You would have no idea these little sea creatures are made out of egg cartons, that’s how darn cute they are!
Casey had a show and tell at school and of course, got stuck with the letter W…
She loves whales and sleeps with a stuffed one so we brought her “Whalee” and brought this craft to her preschool to make along with some Whale cupcakes for the kids (Blue cupcakes with Black frosting) and I seemed so prepared
Plus, we talked about the importance of recycling and the ocean and this recycled craft fit in perfectly
You could use any sea creature and do the same thing
Recycled Egg Carton Turtle
Source: Emma Owl
This turtle egg carton craft is TURTLEY AWESOME!
Something I loved about doing this craft with my little Casey was opening up the conversation about clean beaches, how they lay their eggs on the beach, and oh yeah, we were able to watch my favorite movie together afterward
“Finding Nemo”
This is relatively simple, and chances are if you have green paint then you have everything else needed to make your own cute little turtle
I’d be lying if I said this little guy wasn’t on our shelf in the bathtub for bath time
Let me get a shell yeah!
Egg Carton Fairy House Craft
Source: Creative Family Fun
Fairies. Fairies fairies fairies
I hear about Tinkerbell and fairies and magic creatures all day long
Casey tells me she sees Tinkerbell in her room so often that sometimes when I’m tired and exhausted after a long day I start seeing her too. So, we made Tinkerbell a house…
This was one of my favorite egg carton crafts to do because not only do these little houses look so cute in my daughter’s room, but it’s essentially just paint and an egg carton so we made 4 houses
If you need a place for the fairies in your house to land then this craft is made for you!
Egg Carton Ice Cream Cones
Source: In The Playroom
If you know my family then you know we never, ever, say no to Ice Cream
This ice cream egg carton craft is one of the easier ones, and wow does it turn out cute! If you have different color pom poms on hand I strongly suggest using them because your kids can make different flavors of ice cream
If they are good during the craft you could even surprise them with the real thing
We all scream for ice cream!
Egg Carton Turkeys Craft
Source: Living Well Mom
There is always something to be thankful for, and this year on Thanksgiving it was this delicious slow cooker Turkey Recipe I found
It changed the Thanksgiving game in our house forever
We usually have so much left over, like to the point where it can feed our family for weeks… and this year hardly ANY
It’s cooked in this delicious sauce and it’s not dried out at all. It goes perfectly with these super fun egg carton turkeys!
Check out the recipe here: Turkey Recipe
Easy Egg Carton Snowman
Source: The Chirping Moms
Christmas is a time to say “Merry Everything”, to be thankful, involved, and cheerful with your kids
Michigan wanted to make that VERY difficult for my family this year
I think we spent two whole months under a winter weather advisory and my kids had 12….TWELVE snow days this year. Can you believe that?
We couldn’t even make real snowmen this year due to the bitter wind and brutal temperatures
We settled with these and we had an absolute blast making them. I put on some Christmas music, made some hot chocolate, and we all got cozy together
Once you see how cute these are you’ll want to make them too!
Treasure Box Egg Carton
Source: Red Ted Art’s Blog
Yo ho let’s go!
Will all the real “Jake and the Neverland Pirates lovers” please stand up?
My kids are obsessed with that show and buried treasure in general
This treasure box craft is genius! I mean seriously, there are so many things you can do with this and it’s mostly just painting the egg carton. I can’t wait to make this ?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Egg Carton
Source: The OT Tool Box
Don’t you love it how our little millennials still love “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”?
I mean, we grew up on this stuff!
If you have paint and you have googly eyes then you have just about everything you need for this cute and fun recycled craft
Egg Carton Ocean Craft
Source: The Imagination Tree
This is one of my favorite DIY egg carton crafts yet! If you’re looking for a good under the sea birthday party craft, ocean theme for school, or just looking to show your little ones you can find imagination in anything than this is the craft for you…
I love the addition of the seashells in the carton and the way she uses the top and bottom as two different canvases for the ocean
This is fun, cute, and your kids will want to hang onto this for a long time!
Egg Carton Christmas Tree Craft
Source: I Heart Arts n Crafts
I have a very special story behind this adorable Christmas Tree egg carton craft
The day after Thanksgiving while all you crazy people are out stampeding each other at 5 am on Black Friday, my family and I are relaxing, listening to Christmas music, and putting up our tree
We are more of a Cyber Monday family ?
My son wanted to make his own Christmas Tree to put in his room, and we used this idea. When Christmas finally came he had a tiny little present underneath that Christmas tree in his room…
It was a Disney World Ticket for this Spring! He could not have been more excited, and I had to start crying
This is a moment he and my family will never forget, and we have that special tree to thank
Minecraft Inspired Egg Carton Squids
Source: When You Rise Up
Not really much of a squid gal myself, but these are too cute to pass up! If your kids are into Minecraft then this egg carton craft is perfect for you
They look exactly like the Minecraft squids, and they are relatively easy to make with few items needed
It’s a good way to get your little one off the computer and into his imagination!
Egg Carton Dragon Craft
Source: I Heart Crafty Things
I LOVE teaching my kids about other cultures, and especially other Holidays around the world
Mostly because I like to learn about them myself. We celebrate the Italian New year before ours every year, and this year we decided to celebrate the Chinese New Year too!
We watched Youtube videos of the celebration’s throughout the country, made homemade lanterns and watched them in the sky, and made these egg carton dragons!
Witch Egg Carton Craft
Source: ART CAMP
This egg carton craft is…well, witchcraft! It’s so cute and fun and it’s the perfect project for school, or just to complete on a rainy day
This does take a few more items than just an egg carton, but it’s well worth it. My Casey was a spooky little witch this year and we had to make this
The outcome was so cute and worth the time put in. We put it on the front porch afterward and I stocked it away with my other Halloween decorations to take out next year
Do you really want to know whether you are a good witch or a bad witch?
Egg Carton Galaxy Craft for Preschoolers
Source: Little Worlds
I would describe this craft using three of my favorite words: Easy, fun, and SPARKLY!
You name a little one out there that doesn’t like using sparkles for anything and everything… I’ll wait ?
These kids would swim in glitter and sparkles if they could
This was an easy-to-do craft and there wasn’t too much more to it than the carton itself and the sparkles which most of us moms always have ready on hand
